Worship

Sunday morning worship is both in person and online. A warm welcome awaits you at any or all of our worship services.

We currently still have some Covid-19 restrictions, including social distancing and the wearing of face masks during the whole service.

We meet in person for worship:

Every Sunday morning at 10.30am

Every Wednesday morning at 10.30am

Sunday morning worship can be joined online at https://scurc.online.church/ Join us from 10.20 am.

Sunday morning worship is fairly traditional, a mixture of Hymns, prayers, bible readings and a sermon. Usually on the first Sunday of the month we celebrate Holy Communion, which is open to all. The service lasts about an hour, a little longer when Holy Communion is celebrated or there is a baptism or other special event. Tea and Coffee has traditionally been served, usually in the café area of the church after the service.  We hope this will be possible again soon as Covid-19 restrictions are reduced.

Our mid-week worship on Wednesday mornings is led by different people each week, usually members of our congregation or our minister. As a result, the format and style vary. However, we always include prayers for healing for those whose names have been place in our prayer book over the past week. We also offer individuals the ministry of healing prayer and the laying on of hands if requested. This is a short service of between 30 and 45 minutes.

As the church is open between 9am and 5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 3.30pm on Fridays; the sanctuary area or quiet room is usually available for anyone wanting a personal time of prayer or contemplation.

Baptisms and Weddings are arranged through the Minister.
