Sutton Coldfield United Reformed Church – sharing the love of God through Worship and Friendship – all are welcome
We aim……
To be a centre of Worship
– To offer praise, prayer and to celebrate the sacraments
– To encourage active participation in corporate worship engaging heart, soul and mind and utilising a range of formats.
To be a place in which all people are invited and challenged to become disciples of Jesus
– Where strangers and guests are welcomed and embraced
– Where hospitality and pastoral care are offered
– Where faith can be found, strengthened and developed
To be part of and not separate from our community
– To open up and reach out to people in Sutton Coldfield, the wider Church, and the wider world including other faith groups.
And in all we do we aim…
– To encourage participation in meetings, groups and decision making.
– To allow time and space to invite and recognise the presence and guidance of the Holy Spirit (How??).
We believe that God has a vision for a fairer, more just world and it is our role to promote this message in our Church life and in our community. As followers of Jesus Christ we believe we are called to ‘love our neighbour’.
As a church we are at the centre of Sutton Coldfield and a centre for community and this is reflected in our Worship, our mission projects and our welcome of many groups to use our building and facilities.
While during the Covid-19 pandemic we have had to close our building, we have been able to maintain some of our community work and moved worship online. Our priority now is to prepare our building for re-opening, install infrastructure to allow continued streaming of worship services and re-engage with wider community.
Your donation will support all our work.
